Looking ahead to that season

It seems to have become totally normal to wish away the seasons and want summer to arrive and for it to last longer than it does. Sunny days bring with it so many fun, joyful and happy moments. We look forward to it with great anticipation, many schedule entire workout routines to prepare for it and we also shop for it. We bring out our favourite skirts, shorts, sandals and tank tops to help us cope with the hopefully sweltering temperatures the beautiful season brings.

When I think of summer, my thoughts immediately turn to my motherland Ghana where its hot pretty much all year round and where even the evenings reach warmer temperatures than I’m used to!

As you can tell, I’m already thinking ahead to warmer days so I put together a look to share. When it gets very hot we often go for an outfit that is functional in keeping us cool such as a maxi dress or similar but is also pretty and ‘summery’. Even the court shoe lovers like myself lol, retire the closed shoes temporarily and reveal our pedicured toes to catch some rays 🙂 and soon (hopefully) we will be able to say that summer is finally and definitely here. But if it doesn’t arrive in the way we had hoped we can always catch a flight to places where its guaranteed!

The look I’ve posted below could be dressed up with a blazer for the evening or dressed down by swapping the hoops for studs and the heels for a nice pair of sandals.

Enjoy the bank holiday!
