My lash essentials

I have some items that I have come to love as I look for dependable items with which to apply my lashes and the lashes I choose to wear. Its really great to know that there are soooo many great lash brands out there catering to almost every look you wish to achieve. Whether its a dramatic sharp look or simple everyday wear your bound to find something that meets your needs.

Beauty products should be all inclusive regardless of your skin colour, eye shape, eye lash length its possible to now find something that suits you.

Personally I prefer strip lashes to individuals for the simple reason that I find these much quicker and easier to apply, and as you all know I’m all for make-up that cuts down the getting ready time.

So the pic I uploaded shows a pair tweezers with good grip that I picked up from Boots and the eyelash glue by Eylure also from Boots. What I like about this eyelash glue is how little you need and how long it lasts for . I wear lashes everyday and one bottle can take me for about 4 months plus it lasts all day! Its not harsh on the skin and is tough enough to keep your lashes in place even in high winds lol.

As for lash styles when it comes to daily wear I prefer to go for what gives the most natural look and the wispy style I believe helps me achieve that best. Of course I opt for something a little more daring for special occasions but for everyday glam Ardell lashes and Natural Lash are my current favourites and these I pick up from any good hair and beauty store.

Whats your go-to lash brand for everyday wear?

Have a wonderful day x

Pretty Eyes

This week I placed an order with a lashes company in the UK called Demure Lashes. I like to think that I’m all set when it comes to my make-up products and lashes because I’ve found a set of brands that I really like. However, when browsing on their website I couldn’t help but try a couple of their styles for myself. I decided to buy Marina and Chloe.

The Marina lashes are very thick  and are definitely for a glamorous evening look. They were super easy to put on because of the natural curvature of the lash and using the right glue meant they stayed put all day. Due to the slightly thicker band on this style of lash I would recommend giving your lash glue a little more time to get tacky before applying to make sure that they stick well. If you aren’t a regular lash wearer, be patient and keep a steady hand to ensure you can really get the lashes as close to the base of your own lashes as possible to achieve the best look.

I usually prefer to wear lashes with an invisible band which are popular with the wispy style of lashes that you often find with Naturalash or Ardell lashes. When I saw that Demure lashes had the wispy style with the invisible band I had to try these too.

Both lashes are completely different in the finished look that they give but for an everyday wear I would happily wear the Chloe style. They are so light and give a lovely soft look with or without eyeliner.
